Process
Welcome! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to tell you about Bond&Devick. As a team, we aim to become your primary financial and retirement planning resource by helping you arrange your financial affairs in the most efficient and effective way.
What makes Bond&Devick unique is our Goals-Based Planning and Team Approach. Each member of the Bond&Devick Team has an area of expertise. We feel it is important to offer clients a well-rounded look into their financial situation. As a team, our objective is to help our clients reach their long-term goals and dreams by creating a financial plan based on their unique goals and circumstances.
1. Phone call and appointment set up
Upon initial contact, we will go through a variety of questions and set up a meeting with one of our financial advisors.
2. Initial Meeting with a Financial Advisor
To make the initial meeting as beneficial as possible, we ask that you bring a provided checklist of documents. There is no fee for the first 1 hour meeting.
3. Financial Plan Development
During our first meeting we will go over your unique financial situation and goals. We will send you a contract letter for building a comprehensive financial plan for a fee. Once we receive the contract back we will begin building your unique financial plan. We will go through a information collection process which will be the basis for your plan. A financial plan is an in-depth review of your unique financial situation focusing on retirement planning, retirement income planning, specific investment recommendations, estate planning, risk management, and education planning. Based on your goals, we will analyze your situation and recommend the best financial plan for you. Once the plan is complete, we will set up a time to meet and go over the plan with you.
4. Wealth Management and Investment Advisory Services
If we believe we can assist you and you agree to move forward, you will sign a fee agreement. Fees are based on the complexity of your financial situation and the assets under management. The fee covers all meetings, phone calls and other communication. This is an open-ended agreement that you may terminate at any time. Visit our Fees and Minimums page for more information.
We provide ongoing comprehensive wealth management and investment advisory services. For most of our clients this includes comprehensive wealth management with the fee generally paying for most of the services we provide including, but not limited to tax planning, retirement planning, investment planning, risk assessment, cash flow, education planning, etc.
After the first year you will meet with your advisor 1-2 times per year to review your plan and make necessary adjustments. In addition to these annual in-person meeting(s), your advisor will review and update you about your accounts 2-4 times per year.
