Bond&Devick Update - March 2024

Submitted by Bond & Devick Wealth Partners on March 1st, 2024

Hi, I’m RJ Devick, partner and CEO of Bond&Devick Wealth Partners.  I wanted to take the time to give everyone an update on the state of our firm.  I am sure you have noticed the number of changes we have experienced over the past few years.

To highlight: last spring, Rob Caverly was named President, his main responsibility is to manage the day-to-day operation of the firm.  This gives me, along with the rest of the leadership team, more time to work directly with clients and to focus on long-term projects, strategic planning, goal setting, and growing our firm.  Also, last summer, Zack passed his CFP exam.  He recently met his CFP certification requirement of 6,000 practice hours. It is so exciting to watch our younger associates learn and grow professionally.

Speaking of growth, we are often asked why we have added so many people to our team over the past few years.  There are a few reasons. One is to maintain our high level of quality service.  This allows us to continue to provide exceptional, timely, comprehensive financial planning to our clients.

Another important reason is to provide a career path for our team. In order to attract and retain quality talent, we need to foster a firm that is growth-driven. Both candidates and our current employees want to be part of a thriving team that offers professional advancement.  Furthermore, we want time to mentor the future generation, this takes several years. It is an investment we feel is important for Bond&Devick’s future. Penny Bond started the firm in 1982 and our goal is to continue her legacy by putting in place the resources we need to be an enduring firm.  In 2022 we celebrated our 40-year anniversary, and our goal is for Bond&Devick to be sustainable well into the future.

Our intention is to grow responsibly when making decisions about both who we add to our team and which clients we welcome to our firm. Our primary goal is to ensure our clients and our team are taken care of now and in the future; while keeping true to our core values.

We have been privileged to continue to receive many referrals from our clients – it is an incredible honor for us to work with your friends, family, and favorite charities and we welcome the introduction to anyone you think may benefit from our financial planning process.  We have assembled an amazing team of quality individuals who enjoy helping our clients reach their financial and personal goals.

Our team is looking forward to the next 40 years and we deeply appreciate the trust and confidence you have placed in us.  It is something we do not take lightly.

From all of us at Bond&Devick, be well and take care.
