I Want To Help - How and Where?

Submitted by Bond & Devick Wealth Partners on March 17th, 2020

As circumstances our world faces change daily, the concern for those less fortunate grows. Our Custodian, Charles Schwab, sent out information including resources (listed below) for those who would like to help during this time of great need for many.

We have experienced unprecedented uncertainty and market volatility. In response, the philanthropic sector is mobilizing to help vulnerable citizens. These resources can help you stay abreast of updates and identify ways to help.

The Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP) has an issue overview with links to daily updates from the World Health Organization and others. The CDP also provides ideas on how philanthropy can respond to COVID-19 in this webinar.

Schwab Charitable also has a list of CDP recommended charities supporting preparedness, containment, and response and recovery efforts for responders and those affected.

Giving Compass recently published an article with steps donors can take to support nonprofits through the coronavirus outbreak.

Candid is monitoring grant activity in response to coronavirus through its blog and website.

Schwab Charitable discusses key considerations for supporting disaster relief on our website.
